"Miss independent. Miss self-sufficient. Miss keep your distance...
Miss unafraid. Miss out of my way. Miss don't let a man interfere, no
Miss on her own. Miss almost grown.
Miss never let a man help her off her throne...
So, by keeping her heart protected
She'd never ever feel rejected
Little miss apprehensive ... "
Never in the history of teenaged girl life has a song described a moment as well as this one. Of course I'm being dramatic as always... but Ms. Clarkson Deserves a standing ovation for successfully tying up my romantic escapades in one, fairly blunt, song. Although I have yet to find one song that matches me to a "T", Miss Independent by Kelly Clarkson has come close . Unfortunately Kelly, close isn't perfect... and your song entails feelings I have yet to feel in all of my post pubescent years. No, Mrs. Independent did not fall in love, though its an interesting thought. Rather, she fell... into a dark vortex of confusion and frustration. Even the word "Fell" in this context wouldn't be accurate. Was pulled into? I'm... unsure.
Either way, I find myself questioning my every word, move, and breath as of late and it is ... exhausting (to say the least). My Best friend has given me the solid yet daring advice to shed my apprehension, but the thought strikes fear into my soul. haha (again... blowing my feelings way out of proportion). 1:59 am, and instead of allowing me so find comfort in sleeping, my mind continues to pace between two viable options I have to resolve the situation. Hopefully I decide soon...
